Happy May everyone. I hope you are enjoying nice weather. We’ve had a mix of cold and warm. I hope it will stay warm from now on. Well we’ve just had our first week of 30 Days to a Food Revolution. I have learned so much already and can’t wait to read this week’s guest posts. It’s also been great to see all of the interaction around this topic. Thank you for joining in.
I hope to be sharing more on the weekends but this one seemed to get away from me. Big deadline in our house on Friday of a book manuscript from my husband, Scott. He’s working on the second edition of The Next Level: What Insiders Know About Executive Success. He’s added a lot of new information which meant lots of work around here. I’m still working on my e-cookbook and hope to have that ready soon.
I’ve also been working on a fun way to show our love for cooking real food. I’ve created products in thewholegang Zazzle shop. Still working on arranging things but it’s been fun to make aprons, mugs and tote bags. I can’t wait for mine to arrive. I hope the magnet will stick to my car. ** 50% of any profit received will be donated to the Huntington’s Kitchen, formerly Jamie’s Kitchen. If you want to donate directly, the kitchen is now being run by Ebenezer Medical Outreach.
I wanted to make sure I shared with you my menu for the month. I’ve had to go back what I call a 50’s style menu where I’ve chosen a protein for the same night of the week. It’s mostly like that but with some changes. Nothing in our house can ever be exactly the same all the time. Our lives are too busy and constantly changing. But I find with a menu and a plan, it does make things easier and I spend less money.
I also had Brad, my picky eater, go through Jamie’s Food Revolution cookbook and pick out recipes he wants to cook with me and then he’ll have to eat them. He choose carefully and mostly beef but with a few surprises in there. Can’t wait to try more of Jamie’s recipes and get cooking with Brad.
