This Friday is the Washington, DC Gluten-Free Expo. I will one of the 50 gluten-free vendors from across the country gathering at the Embassy Suites Convention Center Hotel. Each vendor will sample and/or sell their products. In some cases, the vendors will offer large discounts to purchase products at the event.
While most of the vendors there will be sharing their gluten-free products, I’m really looking forward to talking with folks about their health and taking care of themselves.
If you are in the DC area I hope you will stop by the event and say hello. I will have some recipes to share from my cookbook plus a new one to sample and share plus a discount for my cookbook. I will also have a gift pack for one lucky person who registers for a WHOLE You consultation.
Following the vendor fair, the CNMC Celiac Disease Program Advisory Board will host a Gluten-Free Cocktail Reception at Finn & Porter (upstairs atrium at the Embassy Suites) from 7:30pm-10:00pm to relax, mingle with new and old friends, eat delicious gluten-free food and learn more about the DC gluten-free community. The theme for the event is “Globally Gluten-Free” and Chef Aaron Flores will prepare all of the international gluten-free food. We hope you’ll join us at this fantastic event!
The Washington DC Gluten-Free Expo will feature the best gluten-free products on the market featuring more than 50 of the nation’s best gluten-free food manufactures, and dozens of local DC restaurants will showcase their gluten-free menus. This is an interactive awareness event bringing the DC Gluten-Free Community together for a fun, exciting and delicious afternoon.
This whole event is being sponsored by Children’s National Medial Center. As part of its mission to excel in Care, Advocacy, Research and Education, Children’s National Medical Center is leading the creation of innovative solutions to pediatric health challenges. As part of this mission, Children’s National has recently created a Celiac Disease Program in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition within the Joseph E.
